I offer supervision to both trainee and qualified counsellors. It is a space to slow down, reflect honestly on your work and think things through without judgement.

We might look at a session that felt difficult, explore something a client brought up or talk through an ethical question. At times, we may also consider your own responses and what they might be telling you about the relationship with your client.

I look at the work from more than one perspective: the client, you as the practitioner, our supervisory relationship and the wider context around the work. My experience in teaching, attachment, trauma-informed practice and therapeutic work helps me connect theory with what is happening in everyday clinical practice.

Whether you are on placement or have been practising for years, I offer supervision that is supportive, thoughtful and honest, with space to reflect, learn and develop.

My Supervision Background

My approach to supervision is integrative, relational and developmental. Most importantly, I want supervision to be a place where you can bring the parts of your work that feel clear, difficult, uncomfortable or unfinished.

We might look closely at a particular session, think about what was happening between you and your client, explore your own responses or consider what is emerging in our supervisory relationship. I draw on the Seven-Eyed Model, Clarkson’s Relational Framework, Inskipp and Proctor’s Functional Model, developmental approaches and Bernard’s Discrimination Model to help us view the work from different perspectives while keeping your experience as a practitioner at the centre.

The way I work will depend on what you need. Sometimes I may offer reflection and support; at other times, I may ask a more challenging question, provide practical guidance or help you think through an ethical issue.

I hold a Level 6 qualification in Clinical Supervision and am an NCPS Approved Supervisor. I aim to offer supervision that is thoughtful, honest and genuinely collaborative.

Alongside supervision, I deliver professional workshops for counsellors, social workers and foster carers, bringing theory into practical therapeutic work.

Supervision Enquiries

If you’re considering supervision and would like to talk about what you need, please get in touch. We can discuss your practice, how I work and whether supervision with me feels like a good fit. There is no obligation to continue.

Please note: I offer supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors, including supervision that meets BACP requirements where applicable. I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework and the relevant guidance of your professional body.
